Meet Dr. Jesse Pisors
Vice President for Institutional Advancement | University of Texas at El Paso
Jesse Pisors, Ed.D., is Vice President for Institutional Advancement at The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), where he leads efforts to strengthen philanthropic support, alumni engagement, and community partnerships in service of student success. He brings nearly 15 years of leadership experience in university advancement, having served in senior roles at institutions across Texas, including Texas A&M University–San Antonio and the University of Houston-Victoria, as well as at Oral Roberts University and the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. He also previously served as President of Pasco-Hernando State College in Florida.
Throughout his career, Pisors has helped institutions achieve record-setting fundraising results, launch successful campaigns and grow donor participation by building inclusive, mission-aligned cultures of philanthropy. A fluent Spanish speaker with a deep appreciation for Hispanic culture, he is closely aligned with UTEP’s role as a leading Hispanic-Serving Institution and a driver of opportunity in the Borderplex. Pisors holds a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from Oral Roberts University and an Ed.D. in higher education administration from Texas Tech University. He, his wife, Nayeli, and their 8-year-old boxer/blue heeler, Piper, are honored to call El Paso home.
