Conference Committee
Help bring the annual TxGAP conference to life. Committee members work together to create a valuable and engaging experience for attendees.
What You’ll Do
Assist with conference planning and logistics
Help identify potential sessions, speakers, and programming
Support sponsorship and exhibitor outreach
Assist with conference communications and promotion
Help with activities and needs leading up to and during the conference
Participate in committee meetings and planning discussions

Professional Development & Strategic Initiatives Committee
Help create opportunities for TxGAP members to learn, connect, and grow throughout the year.

Help identify professional development topics and speakers
Assist with planning virtual and in-person programs
Support networking and member engagement opportunities
Contribute ideas for new programs and initiatives
Assist with event coordination as needed
Participate in committee meetings and planning discussions

Membership Committee
Help welcome new members and strengthen connections within the TxGAP community.

Support membership recruitment and retention efforts
Help welcome and engage new members
Assist with member recognition and spotlight initiatives
Encourage involvement in TxGAP programs and activities
Help identify ways to improve the member experience
Participate in committee meetings and planning discussions

Communications & Marketing Committee
Help tell the TxGAP story and keep our community informed about what’s happening across the organization.
What You’ll Do
Assist with social media content and promotion
Contribute content for newsletters and member communications
Help promote TxGAP events and opportunities
Share ideas for increasing TxGAP’s visibility and engagement
Support website content and other communication projects as needed
Participate in committee meetings and planning discussions

Historian
Help preserve TxGAP’s history and document the organization’s continued growth.
What You’ll Do
Maintain records of significant TxGAP activities and milestones
Document conferences, events, and leadership transitions
Collect and organize photos and other historical materials
Help preserve information about TxGAP’s accomplishments and history
Support historical content and recognition projects as needed
Good Fit If You Enjoy: Organization, documentation, storytelling, photography, or preserving organizational history.
